This was an interesting meeting.....
We had all the girls come in uniform. We had to make sure that everyone was in the correct order for badges. Their earned badges turned out for many was in the wrong spots and the Fun patches which are event patches for trips was on the front. Which are both big no nos. And then turned out that the girls had wrong level badges on their uniforms. Each level has their own badge. So the girls spent over half of their meeting redoing their badges. Turned out that none of them knew how to sew. So here we was teaching them to sew. So that was amazing. And some of the mothers had glued on badges. So that made it harder for the girls. And they was just put on just where ever the badge happened to lay down. Wanted to cry. No wonder the girls had been leaving them at home. But no blood from the needles so that is good. We put their pins where they go.
The cadettes took their cameras and went outside to work on their photography badge. Which was a big hit for them. They had enough of sewing. Turned out they had the most to sew. Except Lizzie and Mary had badges to sew.
I took the Juniors up to the second floor of the church. There was some table and chairs there. The girls was working on their model citizen badge. Which is about our rights and our responsiblities. The girls also wrote letters to my brother who is serving in the US Navy. The girls also colored him pictures. The brownies came upstairs after a while. So I explained to them where he is. He will be coming to visit our troop in Dec.
