Calling All Scouts,
Zach Porier is working on his Eagle Scout project and is writing a book entitled, "C" is for Community: an anthology of writings from scouts ages 12-18 that have had to cope with friends and loved ones diagnosed with cancer.
The book is intended to help other youth know that there's support for them and that they are not alone in having to deal with often deadly disease.
Please read my interview with Zach at:

To submit a written piece to Zach, please send your submissions to:

All submissions are due by the end of June, 2011.
Let's get behind Zach and his project.

Comment by Keith Westergaard on June 1, 2011 at 9:57pm Anyone who is over the age of 18 should still pass their stories on to Zack.
He will or should decide which ones he will include in his project.
Thanks,
Keith
I would like to make the same question of Sr. Payne, because recently I have 3 cases of cancer in my family, that I were very close from each them... now I have 29 years old, but I have lived with that since my 26.
Also I want to congratulated about this idea and project.

Comment by John Payne on June 1, 2011 at 3:20am Hello Sir. Just thought I would ask. My dear Mother died of cancer in 1988, Oct. At the time I was about 28 years of age. I am 50 now. Is this project restricted to people of only 12 to 18?
By the way it is an excellent project. Your kids should be making your leaders and town proud.
