The 5th National Rover Moot was hosted by Davao City Council, my council. The BSP camp was really for scouting. The pole's were shape like the scouting Logo. All the Participants has a nice place to stay. The camp was clean.
The opening of the event was on Apr. 20, 2008. The speakers were very touching as they delivered their speech.
the first activity was the immersion at the different districts in Davao city. we were assigned in Upper Kibalang, Marilog District. at the immersion, we experienced having no light, no cellphone signal and no source of food. our Getting to know you night was fun because the people there really welcomed us. i think that the whole barangay was there just to welcome us. the kids sang the Gawad Kalinga song that really touched our hearts. the adults, on the other hand, presented a dance.
Our immersion site was the Gawad Kalinga Project which help build houses for people who does not have a proper House to stay. we helped carry the hollow blocks, make cement and etc. we bonded with the Camarines Sur Delegates and the Lanao Del Norte too.
the activities of the national rover moot was fun too. there were marksmanship, rappelling and ect!
the 5th National Rover Moot was a success.
