- Give some words for peace all over the world
- We must all work together for peace, not the peace that many people call by that name .. but the peace that passes all understanding that counts no cost that gives until it hurts that will give and do everything to bring poverty to and end.
An organisation like ours (The World Scout Movement) has the opportunity to do this by showing all members and associations of the the scouting brother & sisterhood the path shown by the example first given in practice by 'Lord Baden Powell of Gilwell'.
Stand up now everyone of you who are members of the greatest movement that the world has ever seen and be counted in the places of need right there in your own communities.
'A Scout is friend to all and a brother to every other scout, no matter what colour, class, creed, country or association the other may belong'.
Can we up-hold this basic scout Law? - Then let us begin today, together to put it into practice .
A Poem
The Boy / Scout!
Running free, see the sky no is not a word on which I rely.
Lay me down in pasture green, see the willow sway the beam
Bugs, Blow pipes, signals smoke or flag, games of honour fast the tag.
Stand deliver fight or run, see the snake the wolf, rejoice, the sun.
Swim, clime, from trees swing, mud and sand, stream full to brim.
Racing, crawling through the scrub, woo, it's so much of this I love.
Shouting, laughing, sounds the tide, finding ones first bee hive.
What more would satisfy me. A scout alive full and free
Warm the fire, slight the song as if a whisper of a dream.
Nay, no oh hay ho.. 'Tis the scouting life for me.

I was once told as a boy scout that if I really wanted to change something then I must start with myself
We all want to change so much in our world, your first question would be how do we do this ?
I believe that if we educate the youth the way BP set out in his Scouting teaching methods we will bring friendship, self-reliance, maturity, brotherhood, and respect for one another

My son, who was a Springbok Scout in South Africa is now in Burlington. He is not connected to Scouts. I am only temporarily in England so know nothing about Scouts here. I did give a talk awhile ago to an AGM in Reading.

Would you pray and hope and stand with us as a family for PEACE in this world ..
Yes, I am posting this message because I look around the World and see such suffering, pain and sorrow.
Much of it is caused by a break down in the education and communication with our young people and their peers across the world.
War, Famine, Imprisoned, Oppressed.
A Child in Germany kills his school mates and some teachers, a young women dies of Cancer when it could have been avoided. A young boy is shot dead by police and another family loose their home, their job and all they had worked for.

I wanted to highlight the critical importance of EDUCATION & PEACE .
Do you think it would be to much to ask of all scouts & Scouter's and Rovers to give, maybe (2) Two minutes when on their next Scout meeting or Camp - in silence and ponder on these things that BP wrote and spoke about so long ago?
PEACE PEACE PEACE
I do hope so, maybe it will set a chain across the world and allow us to seek a level place of PEACE for ours and others lives.
We must educate our scouts that these issues can only change if we deal with them in our lives and actions today.
EDUCATION4PEACE IS INDEED A WORTHY CAUSE
