Dzień Myśli Braterskiej - World Thinking Day
For each scout 22nd of February is a very special day, for over 80 years is celebrated as World Thinking Day.
For scouting entusiasters that day is occasion to introduce 'ideas to action!' and hand over ourselves brotherlies ideas.
Idea of creation this celebration was born on 4th International Conference Girls Guides and Girls Scouts in 1926 in USA. Choice the day fell on 22th Feb - an anniversary birth scouting founders - Robert Baden-Powell, General World Boy Scout and his wife Olave Baden-Powell, General World Girl Scout. Initially it was girls celebration, but in course of time boy scouts also started to celebrate it.
'Ideas to action!' - that slogan is kond thinking about other people, an acceptance, attempt breaking dislike or weakness.
World Thinking Day realise scout over the world that everyone is brothers and sisters for themselves, regarless of skin colour, nationality or age.
