The President of the Union of the Brazilian Scouts - UEB, Rubem Tadeu Perlingeiro, delivered to Prof. Dr. Jorge Carvalho do Nascimento the Medal Gratitude Gold granted for the National Executive Direction of the UEB, in recognition the contribution given for it as researcher to the History of the Scouts in Brazil. In 2008, Jorge published, for the Publishing company Imago, the book the BADEN-POWELL SCHOOL: CULTURE SCOUT, VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION AND SCOUTS OF STATE IN BRAZIL. The solemnity happened in the audience of the Scout Group Baden-Powell, Club of the Worker. Beyond Rubem Perlingeiro, they had been gifts Bráulio Silva, Ivan Nascimento and Sandra Valda, all members of the National Advice of the Union of the Scouts of Brazil.
Centenarian
During the speech that made in the solemnity, the president of the UEB, Rubem Tadeu Perlingeiro, affirmed that the institution decided to homage the researcher for the importance of the published workmanship, mainly when considers itself that in the year of 2010 if the centenarian of the implantation of the Scouts in Brazil celebrates. He informed despite the Union of the Scouts of Brazil invited the professor Jorge Nascimento to make a conference in April, during the National Congress of the UEB, in Rio de Janeiro, as part of the commemorations of the centenarian of the Brazilian Scouts.
