The saying is almost true.

Faith comes by hearing the Word and Faith without works is dead

the controvosey over the years has been that Faith is only gained in works.

Where as the Scripture is clear in the original rendition Faith wthout works is dead

I belive it is in the book of Galations

In Canada, the highest award for Scout (age 11 - 13) is the Chief Scout Award. For Venturer Scout (age 14 - 17) the highest award is the Queen's Venturer Award. Three of my four children had received the Chief Scout Award and two went further to achieve the Queen's Venturer Award.
I have the privilege of having three nephews as Eagle Scouts in US.
