Good evening, my name is Elizabeth and a live in Cancún, México. I was born in México City. I´m studying Psicology and also... I´m a Troop Scouter. I've just enter in this Scouting 4 peace fundation and I´m amaze.
When I first enter the Scouts I didn't know how big this entire movement was, I started as a Rover Scout, for 2 years everything was OK but then all the elements choose different roads and I decided to stay as a Troop Scouter. I've noticed that someone can find his truely friend in Scouts and my group always support me when I need it. So, being Scout is one of the best things in my life and I wouldn't change it for nothing. Of course You all understand this very well.
It is been 1 year since I´m with the Troop and It is very funny as It is hardwork, there is 25 kids in my Troop, from 11 to 15 years old, and We take walks of 20 km in the jungle, (jungle is very close from the city) or beach (wich is also very close), we often camp in jungle, beach or "cenotes", wich are like lagoons but under earth and are connected by each other, creating "subterranean rivers" (I don´t know how to explain it well). We also make competitions that include making your own mini canoe near by the lagoon in Downtown. hello I am a Girl Scout leader from the United States. I am in the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio council. I am from the state of Ohio. We are located about 40 miles Southeast of Cleveland. I have a troop made up of Daisies (kindergarten & 1st graders 5-6 yr old), Brownies (2nd and 3rd Graders), Juniors ( 4th and 5th graders), Cadettes (6th -8th graders). We have approximately 23 girls in our troop.
We camp once or twice a year. We camp outside of council camps so we can take our daisies since council makes them be in 1st grade and 6 yr old. We are trying to do a camp in October. The church we met at supports us a lot. So we are hoping they will allow us to camp in the field near the church. We are working on the Junior's Bronze award which is their highest award. And the Cadettes are working on their Silver award which is their highest award. The Cadettes had earned their Bronze award when they was Juniors. In the Girl Scouts you must do your Journey book before you are allowed to earn your award. 50 hours for the Silver award to be earned. 20 hours for the Bronze award to be earned. This is community service. Two years ago the Girl Scouts helped out a local animal protective league. There is also a Gold award which is the highest level that a Senior/Ambassador Scout can earn which req 80 hours. Bronze award is a troop project. Silver is either individual or troop. Gold is Individual. I hope that my post can give you some insight into Girl Scouting of the US.

Hello from Italy! I live in Sicily - an island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea - and I'm a guide leader; I was the International commissioner of Italian Scouting and Guiding Federation (FIS) and I believe that ony international friendship can save the world, starting from little steps..
