Welcome to the First International Scout Family

Hey, how about getting a Scouting4Peace tent at the WSJ? Other organizations had tents in the Global Development Village at the 21st WSJ, why not a virtual meeting place as well? Now that would be cool.

Does anyone have any idea how that can be done, and how you can get a spot staffing the tent? Something like the Badgers tent, or the radio tent or somewhat. What do you think, Tarek? Can we contact the jamboree organizers and make it happen?

Thanks Donald for this nice idea we are really love to do that and hope we can mange to do it in next WSJ
Okay, so let's turn this into an action plan. What do we need to do to make this happen? Does the WSJ charge a fee to have a tent? A friend of mine was on the Badger staff at 2007 WSJ, he may have some ideas on how to go about that. Unless, of course, you already have some thoughts?

I presume at some point we need to contact the Swedish Jamboree organizers to find out the details of how to make this happen. Can you muster the Scouting4Peace members to put together some sort of display?

What can I do to help you make this happen?
I really appreciate your care for this great idea Donald can u ask for us for more details to and then we can work for it right away and we will do great international tenet display s4p materials ,peace education system ,and it will be run internationally and all our members and new members can join our display and act with it ,same time im inviting you to join our international admins from USA it is so fast invitation from my side but because i do feel allot of your words and care about the idea of s4p and what i like more in what u said is your are more practical and i like to do action more than saying or writing
thanks again
Tarek
Uh, okay, what does an international admin from USA do? I will be happy to take the lead on putting this together. I will keep you informed of my progress.
I think this is a great idea. I've been doing this too during the World Heritage Jamboree In Malacca. I've called all the S4P's members from Malaysia to join in this meeting. Due to some circumstances, there were only four or us turned up ; Encik Razak Shahidan, Sadam, totally forgot his name and me. We also came out with stickers and distributes to all the S4P members in Malaysia. We need to contact the organizer from now and do some virtual meeting/discussin regarding this matter. why dont' we delegate the responsibilites to each member. I know it quite impossible, but why dont just give a try?
Waau, It is a fantastic idea, some of our members are working with WOSM and we may get some information from them and also we can contact our member scouts from Sweden if they can do any local help there it would be better.........hope to hear good news ........
I do not see anything wrong in getting a corner for the Scouting4Peace like any other body in the Global Development Village, we have to contact the organizer to let them our intention and seek for their advice then we ponder over it and act
What I would like to see, if possible, is that Tarek can find a way to get S4P members who sign up as IST to be assigned to an S4P tent at WSJ, rather than us getting random assignments at the WSJ. Anyone have any idea how to go about this?
I share the opinion of Donald Roberts.
I do not think that should pose much problem, lets contact the organizer and let them know our request if possible, we can not do anything without asking.
There is no crime in asking or making request
