Yes there is a quite resembling between themes of MDGs and MoP

 

MoP.......................  S4P    

Peace ......................MDG8

Envo.....................   MDG7

Social....................  MDG 1,2,3

Hearth ..................  MDG4,5,6

Service .................  All

conflict solution... May be added

This means all of your pledges may be posted on main messenger of peace map on http://www.scoutmessengers.com

I hope thid will be a tremendous action. We will al very happy with the activities done too

hi Umit ...it so nice to have your reply ....

until now I posted two pledges in the MoP Site ....

I´m working on the pledges I told you before .... MoP Scout Marathon; Flag and Badge; Involve all Quintana Roo Scouts; Sign out for MoP and create a MoP Golden Book with a copy of all signatures and pledges there ......

Dear Scout Friends

Plase see my primitive slide show about MDG's Then think about your pledge for messengers of peace:

1. Which MDG work may help to your community

2. You may promote the issue with an exhibition drama or street show

3. İnvire some expert to your scout meeting

4. You may visit  a related place where you geti information

6. Participate to a National or International Campaign

7. Make a project for Global Youth service day

8. Organize an activity for or participate to Clean up the world

9. Play games with younger scouts on MDG issues

10. Collect news clips on the MDG issues from newspapers

11. Make monthly newsletters on these issues

12. You may think better one's. Share them with us  

A dozen  is enough. Decide and share it with us. Post on

1. Scouting 4 Peace

2. Messengers of peace Facebook page and Website

3. if uyou and your friends pledge some activities post them on Global youth Service Day  web page on 20-22 April

 

When you do your pledge  send a photo and info (when what where when and with who)

In Scandinavia there is started MOP Nordic.

 

we need your help!
In 3 weeks we will have a meeting about how we should integrate "Messengers of Peace" in the Nordic countries, as we don't have major problems as war, social problems, nature disasters, education, etc. We think it should be about gender equal, stereotypes, dialogue between religions and cultures, environment, conflict solving etc. 

Be the changing wind and change the world to a better place! Be a Messenger of Peace!

If you do what you can .. You will do a great job! MoP do not want you to perish in the attempt to make the best, most amazing things .. If you only help someone, to have a dialogue instead of a debate every time you talk to someone..

Do what you can do and you will do good!

Peace is built on trust, of tolerance and friendship! Wouldn´t it be wonderful to be the person that is the open and friendly one in the meeting with new people ? rather than the closed and angry one..
