Concert For International Day of Peace

Due to the success of previous concerts to celebrate International day of Peace we will be holding one in the inspeak room on Friday 1st October 2010 7pm till 10.30pm GMT.

The songs and readings must be from your country ,even if you can’t sing then
maybe you could read a poem , make a short speech, play music etc.

Most important please make sure your microphones are in good working order,
maybe come to the room and try your mic's out.

it can be found in the groups section under sports and hobbies just click on
the room scouting4peace and you will be there.Please note that if there is no admin in the room then the room will not show up in the sports and hobbies section.If you have any questions or dont understand anything then do send me an e-mail and i will try and help.

If you don’t wish to take part do come along and be the audience and support
those taking part.

This concert will show how all countries and nations can come together and
share the gift of music and speech.

Angela, this sounds like such a wonderful event! Will definitely join!

Could you please add your event to www.meetup.com/idnv and mark location "Online" ? This will help people know that an event is taking place in relation to October 2nd.

Also, could you ask people who attend this event to take the pledge of nonviolence at www.peacetroops.org?

Unfortunately I could not attend the last concert ....But this year I so happy because the event is in our holiday ... I will be available there full time Insha allaah....

Working with Lions International member Andy and his Listen for Life organization, we are happy to announce the first International Day of Peace Festival (of music) in Oakland California on September 21.
Three concert venues and a presence at the A's baseball game will help spread the message of peace to this violence-torn city.
