Malaysia Celebrates Her 100th years Scouting Movement!

This year Malaysia will celebrates her 100th years Scouting Movement, a year late than the foundation of World Scout Movement.The Malaysian Scout history roots back when Malaysia were under British Empire and scout were first introduced at Singapore ( at that time singapore were also regarded as a part of malaysia ) when young Scoumaster Frank Cooper Sand arrived in Singapore and established two boy scout troops. From there, the movement spread throughout other states in Malaysia. Until now, there are over 100,000 scouts all over Malaysia and Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia ( Malaysia Scout Movement ) targeted 1 million scouts in 2010.Scouting in Malaysia is getting bigger and bigger and hopefully Scouting Movement in Malaysia will last forever, educating the boys and girls through scouting skills :)

There's many speculation about it,because no one knows the exact time when the first boy scout were established in Malaysia.But the Malaysia Scout Association had made decision to follow the version of 1908,so here we are,celebrating 100 years scouting in Malaysia :)
