Type of Project: Peace
Details of Project: This is a promoting project which will begin with the meaning of peace as it is defined by Authors of Manifesto 2000 and leading NGO. UN agencies and WOSM(1999) WAGGGS and others. The scout leaders will be encouraged to pledge their ultimate challanges on main pillers of peace and begin to make short and long range of actions. Their awards depending on their service time on these issues will be given on International day of Volunteering 5 December 2011 and Global Youth Service Day 20-22 April 2012 I will use our unofficial E-Newsletter ANKARAİZCİHABER(Ankara Scout News) to promote this issues. The celebrations on International day of peace with partners UN info Center, Turkish Japanese Foundation will be held on 21 September 2011 as we done before.

I will distribute these newa  to some 1000 leaders with yahoo gruop

I will present them an educational Bingo game to make pledges in different theme a poster series on Scoutning and Peace. anorher one The mening of Peace. Peace photos. MDG and Peace posters. These will be available in english too. I  will be very happy if you translate them to your language and send me aphoto when you uitilize them with your scouts

Having the privilege of attending the World Scout Jamboree as an IST, I got to sign up at the WOSM tent for Messengers of Peace. My pledge: 500 Scouts 50,000 trees to reverse climate change.  Now working with local  Lions Clubs to plant trees.  Scouts, find your local Lions club (1.4 million members in 208 countries) and you will find an ally in service.
