Indonesia National Jamboree 2011

Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia is organizing the Indonesia National Jamboree to celebrate 50 years of Gerakan Pramuka in Indonesia in 2011.  Below are the details regarding this event:
 
 
Date :2 – 9 July 2011.  Participants are requested to arrive on 2 July and leave the jamboree site on 9 July 2011
 
Venue : Teluk Gelam Scout Camp, Ogan Kemring Ilir, South Sumetera Province, Sumatera Island, Indonesia
Participants are requested to arrice in Sutan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang, Indonesia.  The venue is about 90km away rom the airport or about 2 hours drive by bus
 
Theme: Unity towards spectacular Indonesia
 
Fee :USD200.00 per person.  The fee covers food, tentage, activities on site and educational visits to places of interests off-siete, Jamboree souvenirs, insurance and inland transportation between Sutan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport and to and from off-site venues.
 
Participants : 3000 scouts and leaders for all over the country with overseas
 
Eligibility :The Jamboree is organized for young people both male and female who are 11 to 16 years old.  Each patrol should consits 8 scouts members and one Adult Leader
 
Equipment : Participants should bring their personal camping equipment including sleeping bag, eating utensils, flashlight, swimsuit, rain gear.  Tents and cooling utensils will be provided.
 
Weather: Average temperature is around 23 – 24 degrees Celcius with occasional rains
 
Highlights : Exciting Adventure Challenges in land and water Activities, Survival Skills, Crafts, Arts, Global Development Village, Cultural Exchanges, Friendship and Social Bonding, Educational Tours, and Environment Conservation
